Hey everybody, Lonnie here. I just wanted to let you know that the episode covering issue six of a game of you will be delayed by one week. And the reason why is. Because Alisa did a, an interview with Neil in Woodstock, New York on April 1st, and I actually drove out from Colorado to watch her do it.

Also, you know, I got to grab my kid and I'm from the area, so I got to take my kid around. I got to go to Mega Brain Comics in Reinbeck, New York and visit with with Alisa, my friend Jean, who is absolutely delightful. And if you ever get a chance to go to Megabrain Comics in Reinbeck, I think that it is the best comic book store in the entire world.

And so you should go and check out and see if I'm right. I think I'm right about that. It's amazing. But we had such a wonderful time and then we went to see Alisa, interview Neil, and and of course she was wonderful. She was an incredible interviewer. And if you ever get a chance to be interviewed by Alisa, Highly recommend it.

And Neil, of course, was wonderful. I've seen him now speak twice and I cannot recommend enough. If he is speaking in your area, get tickets, go. He's amazing. And if you are a writer, I double encourage you to get tickets. It is wonderful to hear him speak. He has so many in incredibly insightful things to say about not just like the art and craft of writing, but just like what it is to be in the world as a writer.

I. Love listening to him speak. And there are things that he's said in the shows that I've gone to see that I, I've still used to this day in my teaching and in my experience working as a writer. So all of that is incredible. Highly, highly recommend it. But I have to tell you that I had an incredible experience while I was there.

After the show, we went down to this like little space that was separated by like a, I'm not even kidding, a beaded curtain. It was like walking into this magical backstage space. And then as soon as I got there, Elisa comes over me dragging this man in her wake and says, "Hey, Lani, this is Daniel Vozzo."

Now for those of you who are like, "Hey, I've heard that name before." Yeah, you have, because we talk about it all. Daniel Vozzo is the colorist on Sandman. And it was so incredible. Like I was expecting to meet Neil so I was prepared for that. But like Danny Vozzo and I sat and I talked to him. He was delightful and I learned all about his cats, I learned all about how for an evening he was, I don't remember where he was, but he told me the story about how Danny Bonaduce kept calling him Billy Joel cuz Danny Vozzo looks like Billy Joel. He's got a little bit of Billy Joel going on there and was telling me all these stories. It was just really wonderful.

I asked him about Sandman and about what that was like, and he was talking about how he had been a fan of the comic book series before getting the job on it, and then was able to work on it as a colorist. And and I just thought that was amazing. And so he was telling me some stories about that as well.

I hope someday that we can have him on and do an interview because I think that you'll be just as charmed by him as I was. But anyway, I just wanted to tell you that we are gonna be a week late, but it was so worth it. And I had a wonderful time visiting out there with Alisa and with Jean from Megabrain Comics and of course seeing Neil and then meeting Danny Vozzo. It was amazing.

So I hope that you all are having just as good a couple of weeks as I had, and we will be back next week covering issue #6 of A Game Of You. "I Woke Up and One Of Us Was Crying." Looking forward to it. See you then.
